These crazy kids at EA and Take-Two are like soap opera characters: no matter what they say, they apparently love each other.
After blowing lots and lots of press-release smoke over the past few months, Electronic Arts and Take-Two may have resolved their differences in private talks.
Financial website The Street said The House That Madden Built looks poised to marry up with the Grand Theft Auto Factory. All this despite Take-Two accusing EA of lowballing them with a $2 billion offer and EA just days ago saying the deal no longer made economic sense.
This merger would set up a showdown of epic proportions with the newly formed Activision Blizzard conglomerate. The chess match is already well underway as EA is rumored to be publishing Brutal Legend. Acti-Blizz reportedly gave up on that game recently opting for more franchise-friendly fare like Spyro and Crash Bandicoot.
