Full Auto 2: Battlelines

Customization of your cars is where the real fun lies. Each car has a certain number of slots that can be filled with weapons. Shotguns, machine guns, mines, smokescreens, and more are all available to be installed on your racing wagon. Most can be placed anywhere though some weapons, such as mines or the smokescreen, must be rear mounted. Achieving that perfect custom combo that works for you is key to winning races later in the game.

Got other racers on your tail? Bring down a bridge on top of them.

As difficult as the game can get, it’s good that it controls well. Fast cars skid in and out of turns, while the lumbering trucks tend to operate like rams and changing direction is less than easy. The only issue with this is that almost all of the cars perform the exact same as every other car in their class. You have the slow trucks, fast sports cars, the average sedan and almost nothing beyond those boundaries.

An undamaged car in Full Auto 2? Never stays that way for long.

One thing immediately noticeable is the improvement in the performance over its predecessor. The extra time in development really gave the game a layer of polish. With a higher frame-rate and increased visuals, the eye candy in this game does not disappoint. Every facet of your car can be damaged, and uniquely so according to what has inflicted the pain on your vehicle. Doors smash and rip off; your hood will turn to shrapnel, all in real-time. Gone are the days when cars had two or three stages of damage that looked the same regardless of the form of punishment.
