Spider-Man 3 Collector's Edition

Swinging through the city remains a single-button joy, with the string sticking to solid objects (as narrator Bruce Campbell will explain early in the game). Night time is the best time to soar through the skies, when the skyline is dark and the buildings are lit. For some extra swinging speed, they've also added an extra button speed boost and the ability to toss two lines for double-handed fun.

The random pedestrian missions have been improved over S-M2 so they don't seem quite as repetitious, though fighting street baddies will quickly degrade into button mashing.

Though the game has been tweaked for the better in parts, a few glitches really make a dent in the game's overall fun.

Most of the story mission levels involve several standard Spider-Man gameplay types - simple fighting, mini puzzles and few boss fights - but unfortunately contain context sensitive (press the cued button) moments. They not only break the flow of the game but can also force you to repeat a frustratingly long boss battle. They are also often misplaced, allowing Spider-Man to swing through a subway tunnel after you were just swinging around a city and through the tunnel on your own.
