Spider-Man 3 Collector's Edition

The game certainly has some fun moments and has been slightly improved from its predecessors but the crappy context sensitive segments and often bland graphics really take away from the game's overall enjoyment. The $70 price tag is a bit too steep for any video game and more than negates the benefit of being able play as New Goblin. Activision should have instead included New Goblin as a playable character in every version and worked on making the PS3's graphics amazing to justify the regular release's $60 price.

Highs
The city is huge, looks great and is a pure joy to swing through. Collector's Edition includes New Goblin as a playable character (once unlocked).

Lows
Unannounced context sensitive segments seriously break the flow of the game, Spidey can get stuck in corners and framerate periodically drops. $70 retail price tag is a bit rediculous.

Final Verdict
A no-brainer purchase for hard-core fanboys but still priced a bit too high for everyone else. At least give it a rent for city-swinging fun and to try the New Goblin.
